Health Plus continues to be a family-run business that develops innovative products to improve digestive and overall health. Our female-owned company is led by Rita and her children Sunil and Shelly. Together and with their team, they honor Pat’s vision for happier, healthier, more vibrant communities.
For over 40 years, Health Plus has been committed to developing and manufacturing high-quality supplements to help consumers lead a healthier lifestyle. It all began when Pat and Rita Mediratta opened three health food stores in Southern California in 1981.
Soon after, they recognized a need in the market. Commonly used ingredients in Ayurvedic medicine, holistic healing developed in India over 3,000 years ago, were not being leveraged in the US. In the back room of the stores, Pat and Rita got to work using Psyllium Husk, a dietary fiber long known for its healing properties, and developed Colon Cleanse – an instant success. Colon Cleanse continues to be a top seller for Health Plus.
Health Plus has set a standard for high quality. In our FDA-compliant manufacturing facility next to our corporate office in Chino, CA; we carefully study, test, and produce supplements using the strictest protocols.
